Solar EPC company GRNE Solar formally announced its transition to the Nelnet Renewable Energy brand following its acquisition by Nelnet in 2022, a publicly traded diversified financial services and technology company.
With more than a decade of experience in the field, GRNE Solar has emerged as one of the leading companies providing solutions for residential, commercial and utility-scale solar in many US states.
The new management said that the transition supports a focus on operational excellence by optimizing people, systems, processes and workflows to ensure the company maximizes value for all stakeholders. This optimization will ensure that the company achieves long-term, sustainable success and growth.
As for Nelnet, the partnership is expected to combine its financing expertise and strengthen its capabilities to expand its presence in the solar and renewable energy sector.
Despite the rebranding, the core offerings will remain the same. "All aspects of our relationship will continue without disruption, and our team of dedicated professionals continue to provide exemplary service, guidance and collaboration," said Eric Peterman, founder of GRNE Solar and now the director of EPC services at Nelnet Renewable Energy.
Peterman also pointed out that through the acquisition and rebranding, the company will further optimize resources and explores ways and models to save clients money while contributing to the renewable energy goals of the country.
Apart from providing solar installation services for residential, commercial and small utility-scale projects, Nelnet Renewable Energy also offers an innovative solar tax equity co-investment platform to propel renewables investment while creating a win-win scenario that benefits the parties involved.
In addition, the company fulfills its social and industrial responsibility by establishing a unique sustainability literacy platform for educational institutions as well as a venture capital investment team dedicated to supporting renewable energy innovation.
